a little disappointed in the lack + array in creativity let on by our future style influences (otherwise known as designers) for this spring 2010 runway collective thus far...guess the fear of the recession has crept up in minds, execution, and crowning details as well. the benefit of the doubt would be: they are being courteous to our changing times by cutting down overuses of fabric and flattening austere shapes and looks, toward a robust and fitted, body conscious outlook- emanating a back-to-basics mentality. with all the frill and over-embellished snazz offset by prim jcrew double-breasted blazers and boyfriend trousers, i would not mind having these "new" pieces in my closet. and i guess i can complain about being bored all i want... but, they are far richer than i am so, i'll put all my eggs in the french and italian baskets and hopefully get the inspiration fix i need.
